The recipe block your food blog deserves.
OhScoop is a native WordPress Gutenberg block that makes your recipes look stunning, rank higher in Google, and keep readers coming back. Free to start — Pro when you’re ready to grow.
Every feature your food blog needs.
OhScoop Lite is free forever. Pro unlocks the two features that drive real traffic and real engagement.
Auto-generates structured data that Google, Pinterest, and other platforms use to display your recipes as rich results — with images, ratings, and cook times right in search.
Readers click a star and the rating updates instantly — no page reload. Secured with WordPress nonces. Ratings persist in post_meta and feed back into your live schema score automatically.
Automatically injects the Pinterest “Pin It” button on recipe images via wp_footer. Loads only on singular posts containing a Recipe Card — zero overhead on other pages.
One-click switch between US Customary and Metric measurements directly inside the card. Serve readers from every corner of the world without duplicating content.
Uses the Web Wake Lock API to prevent the reader’s phone or tablet from locking mid-recipe. A small detail that readers notice — and genuinely appreciate.
Strips ads and navigation, outputting a beautifully formatted, ink-saving print layout so readers can take your recipes directly into the kitchen.
Up and running in minutes.
OhScoop is a native Gutenberg block — no page builder required, no shortcodes, no configuration headaches.
Download the free plugin from WordPress.org and activate it. The Recipe Card block appears in your Gutenberg inserter immediately — no setup wizard needed.
Open any post, search for “Recipe Card” in the block inserter, and drop it in. Fill in your ingredients, instructions, and metadata — it saves to your post like any other block.
Install OhScoop Recipe Card Pro alongside Lite to instantly unlock AJAX ratings and Pinterest integration across all your existing and future recipes.

Schema that actually works.
OhScoop outputs valid JSON-LD on every recipe post. When Pro’s AJAX ratings are active, the aggregateRating in your schema updates automatically — meaning Google always sees your real, current score.
-
Rich result eligibility
Recipes with valid schema can appear with star ratings, images, and cook times directly in Google search — no extra configuration needed.
-
Secure rating submissions
Every AJAX rating request is verified with a WordPress nonce — protecting your data from spam and manipulation without slowing anything down.
-
Zero-dependency performance
No jQuery, no Bootstrap, no external CSS frameworks. Pure vanilla JS. Pinterest’s
pinit.jsonly loads on pages that actually have recipes.

Common questions.
Do I need OhScoop Lite installed to use Pro? ▾
Yes — Pro is an add-on that requires OhScoop Lite to be installed and active. Lite provides the core Recipe Card block; Pro unlocks the premium features on top. If you activate Pro without Lite, you’ll see a clear admin notice explaining what to do.
How do the AJAX star ratings work? ▾
When a reader clicks a star, Pro sends a nonce-verified AJAX request to your server. The new average is calculated from existing ohscoop_rating_value and ohscoop_rating_count post meta, then stored and returned to the browser — no page reload needed. The updated average also flows into your JSON-LD schema automatically.
How does the Pinterest integration work? ▾
Pro hooks into wp_footer and injects Pinterest’s official pinit.js — but only on singular posts that contain a Recipe Card block. There is zero extra script loading on pages, archives, or posts that don’t have recipes.
Will OhScoop slow down my site? ▾
No. OhScoop has zero external dependencies — no jQuery, no Bootstrap, no CSS frameworks. It’s native Gutenberg and only loads assets on pages that actually contain a Recipe Card block. It’s designed to score well on Google Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals.
Which themes is OhScoop compatible with? ▾
Any WordPress theme that supports the block editor — including Kadence, Blocksy, GeneratePress, Astra, Twenty Twenty-Four, and more. No page builder required.
Is there a money-back guarantee? ▾
Yes. Pro comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee — no questions asked. Just get in touch and we’ll sort it straight away.
